Sign In and Sign Out Procedure:
Parents and/or child-care providers must walk their child
in and fill out the ‘Sign In and Sign Out’ sheet at the reception
desk. They must put down who will be picking the child
up and leave a contact number where they or the pick-up person
can be reached for that day.
Drop- off Policy:
Barrington Ballet asks that the parent or child-care provider
please arrive on time, get their child ready in their dance
clothes and shoes, and then say goodbye to their child and
return at the appropriate time (if there are extenuating circumstances
please discuss prior to the beginning of class). With
the child left alone, it allows the child to fully focus on
class directions, activities, and games. In turn, the
instructor will have their undivided attention, so they can
concentrate and fully engage themselves without any distractions.
Please feel free to come 5 minutes early to observe your child
and see all of the hard work they have done for that day!
Additionally, there will be special days where you and
your guests will be formally invited to come and watch your
child perform.

Commitment Policy:
Barrington Ballet classes will be divided into sessions depending
on the time of year and vacations. Please be aware of
the time frame you are committing too. Once registered
for the class, payment is due for the session regardless
of attendance. In the summer, sessions are usually
divided by weeks and in the fall, winter, and spring sessions
are usually three months long, creating a quarterly commitment.
All sessions are subject to change and you will be notified
in that event.
Payment Policy:
Payment is due on the first day of the month
that your child attends class. Once the session begins
payment for the quarter may be paid at the beginning of the
session with a $10.00 discount, otherwise payment is due the
first day of each month. Please make checks payable
to Barrington Ballet, Inc. or I can give
you a cash receipt. There will be a $25.00 fee
applied to returned checks. Credit cards are not accepted
at this time. If payment is received after the 15th
of the month, a $10.00 late fee will be applied
to your bill. There will be pleasant reminder signs
at the reception desk when payment is due. Registration
fees, when applied, are non-refundable. Additionally,
there is a non-refundable $25.00 registration fee
for all new students.
Attendance & Inclement Weather Policy:
Payment is due regardless of your child’s attendance.
There will be a chance to schedule one make-up
class only, either during or after the session has ended,
providing there is space available. Please attend class
whenever possible and please speak with me if there are any
extenuating circumstances, including serious illness.
Additionally if your child will not be in class please call
the studio to let me know. Barrington Ballet will be
closed on most national holidays and usually during school
vacations. In the event of inclement weather, (hurricane,
snow, etc.) if the Barrington Public School system is closed,
Barrington Ballet will be closed. If public schools are open
in the event of snow, rain, etc. then there will be ballet
classes, unless you are contacted otherwise. Please check
the home page on the website (under the picture of the studio
- click here for up to date information)
to see if classes are cancelled.
