
Ages
2-4 ballet/tap: Please wear a light pink leotard with
white tights, or white ankle socks, pink leather ballet shoes
and black tap shoes (if needed for class). Hair should be up
and away from their face.
Ages 5 and up ballet/tap: Please wear a black
leotard with light pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes and
black tap shoes (if needed for class). Hair should be up and
away from their face. (If you are in a class for ages 4-6, please
follow the class attire for 2-4 year olds)
Boys Movement: Please wear a white tshirt,
comfortable sweatpants or shorts and either socks or bare feet.
Irish Step Dance: Please wear a white tshirt,
black pants (yoga type pants or leggings) and black leather
ballet shoes. Hair should be up and away from their face.
Hip
Hop/Jazz: Please wear all black dance attire, feel
free to experiment with different forms of dance clothes: dance
pants, dance shorts, etc. Additionally, you will need slip on
black, leather jazz shoes - no ties please! Hair should be up
and away from their face.
Children's Yoga: Please wear
comfortable clothes that your child can move in. The studio
provides yoga mats for the students.
Acting:
All students need to bring a pencil, highlighter and
notebook to class.
All Ages: Please feel free to bring/wear a
fun ballet skirt, tutu, crown, stuffed animal, etc. We want
all students to be happy and comfortable. There will be appropriate
times in class when they can use these items. Additionally,
if any of these items become a distraction we will simply put
them away.
Food and Drink: Food and drink are NOT allowed
in the ballet studio, unless your child has multiple classes
in a row, otherwise it is not recommended that students bring
any food into the building due to the prevalent food allergies
of other students. If a students must bring a snack, please
no peanuts or nuts. Students may bring water and keep it in
their bag in the dressing area. Drinks and food are not
provided by Barrington Ballet at any time, due to serious food
allergies. If your child does have allergies please make sure
the teacher knows ahead of time so they can be sure your child
does not come into any contact with food.
